Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger management and the preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review comprehensive investor financial reports, ensuring clarity and compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity of financial practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize Yardi software to streamline real estate accounting functions and improve reporting accuracy.
• Drive initiatives for process optimization and efficiency within the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
• Proficiency in Yardi software is required.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with additional accounting software such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and ASC-742 standards.
• Experience in acquisition integration and financial forecasting.
