Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Oversee the trade capture and settlement process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across a range of securities, including derivatives and structured credit assets.
• Act as a liaison between trading desks, prime brokers, custodians, and executing brokers to resolve trade discrepancies and issues promptly.
• Manage trade lifecycle events for private and structured asset investments, including complex transactions such as securitizations and restructurings.
• Conduct daily cash and position reconciliations to maintain accurate fund balances and internal reporting.
• Respond to cash and position inquiries from the investment team and service providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and oversee outsourced operational services to optimize trade capture and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, hedge fund administration, valuation, or finance.
• Solid understanding of high yield and credit products, preferably within a hedge fund context.
• Proficient in data analysis and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to resolve complex issues.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Familiarity with EZE OMS, Geneva, Hazeltree, Solvas, and/or WSO.
• Demonstrated interest in hedge fund operations as a long-term career path.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a persistent approach to problem-solving.
