Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of annual capital and operational budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with management objectives.
• Perform detailed monthly variance analyses comparing actual results to budgeted figures, identifying key drivers and trends.
• Maintain and refine the company’s financial forecasting models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
• Support financial consolidation efforts across multiple entities, including preparation of monthly general ledger reports and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing data for regulatory filings and quarterly audit requests, ensuring compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to evaluate acquisitions and new business opportunities through comprehensive financial analysis.
• Utilize technology tools to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy, fostering continuous improvement in financial operations.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience combining general accounting and financial planning & analysis functions.
  • Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the capability to synthesize complex financial data independently.
  • Experience working with auditors and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across organizational levels.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Prior exposure to JD Edwards and Adaptive Insights financial systems.
  • Background in utilities or regulated industries with experience in rate case data compilation.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and scenario analysis techniques.
