Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of accounting records for private investment funds structured as limited partnerships and separate accounts.
• Manage reconciliation processes for cash, investment holdings, and real estate assets to ensure alignment with financial statements.
• Record and verify purchase and sale transactions, including complex corporate actions affecting fund positions.
• Calculate and post monthly accruals and update distribution waterfalls in accordance with partnership agreements.
• Prepare capital calls, distributions, and draw-downs while ensuring compliance with governing documents and investor requirements.
• Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tailored for clients and portfolio managers.
• Collaborate with external auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators to support audit and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • 8–10+ years of combined experience in Big Four public accounting and hands-on fund accounting within alternative investment management.
  • Proven expertise in private fund accounting including capital calls, distributions, allocation waterfalls, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of back leverage facility structures and complex investment accounting.
  • Advanced skills in account reconciliation and financial statement analysis.
  • Familiarity with fund accounting systems such as Geneva/GWI and Investran.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented and self-driven approach.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification.
  • Experience working within alternative investment firms focused on private equity, credit, or real assets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills suited for client and team interactions.
