Based in Southern California with a hybrid schedule, the position provides hands-on management of revenue accounting operations and collaboration across multiple departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting processes for multiple revenue channels, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Design and implement scalable procedures to streamline month-end close and enhance internal controls around revenue.
• Investigate and reconcile outstanding accounts receivable and resolve chargeback disputes to maintain accurate AR balances.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Distribution Center, and Wholesale to guarantee precise invoicing and collections.
• Review and validate deferred revenue calculations, supporting documentation, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue accounts.
• Prepare and oversee journal entries, while supervising timely account reconciliations and financial analysis performed by direct reports.
• Maintain thorough transaction records to support internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • Minimum of five years’ accounting experience within retail, e-commerce, or consumer packaged goods sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in revenue accounting and ASC 606 application.
  • At least two years of experience working with large-scale ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect transactional data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments to drive process enhancements and resolve accounting issues.
