Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and precise invoice processing across corporate entities and investment properties.
• Lead and mentor both internal and outsourced accounts payable personnel, fostering accuracy and accountability within the team.
• Review, code, and reconcile invoices related to property management, asset management, and construction fees, resolving discrepancies and vendor inquiries efficiently.
• Administer treasury operations including intercompany fund transfers and coordinate investor distributions via ACH and manual payments.
• Collaborate with property management teams to provide training and support on invoice processing platforms such as PayScan.
• Oversee vendor data management and lead the implementation and optimization of accounting systems including Zoho Desk and VendorShield.
• Identify and execute process improvements to streamline accounts payable workflows and enhance operational efficiency in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • Proven experience managing accounts payable operations within the real estate sector, preferably multifamily or commercial property management.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising and developing accounting or AP teams.
  • Hands-on expertise with invoice coding, vendor reconciliation, and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with treasury functions including intercompany transfers and investor distribution processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and platforms relevant to AP and vendor management, such as PayScan, Zoho Desk, or VendorShield.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support financial reporting and operational initiatives.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with real estate investment fund accounting and corporate entity financial management.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation and process improvement methodologies within accounting operations.
  • Exposure to treasury management software or banking platforms handling ACH and manual payment processing.
