Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for an Accountant in an undefined location. You would be responsible for month, quarter, and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies. Description:
**Responsibilities**

• Manage month, quarter, and year end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Review and process data for monthly general ledger
• Maintain leases in Lease Query and ensure compliance with ASC 842
• Conduct financial analysis and reconciliation on general ledger accounts
• Assist with audit and SOX compliance activities
• Prepare regulatory filings and reports
• Provide data requests and analysis for regulatory and tax reporting
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization
• Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities

**Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
• Five years of accounting experience in water/utility industry preferred
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with JD Edwards software or major ERP system a plus
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to research, interpret, and compile analytical data
