As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations and financial success of the company, overseeing financial operations, managing a team, and providing strategic insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee all financial operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and industry-specific requirements.
– Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and training for efficient performance.
– Develop and manage financial budgets and forecasts tailored to film permitting and location management needs.
– Analyze financial statements and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
– Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to optimize financial stability.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
– Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific incentives and credits.
– Implement and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk.
– Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance reviews.
– Stay informed about industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
– 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the film or entertainment industry.
– Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting in film permitting operations.
– Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
– Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
– Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
