Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate, develop, and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Oversee Senior Accounting Analysts and Accountants to ensure timely and accurate reports and reconciliations.
  • Review monthly operating expense trend reports and account analysis.
  • Review partnership financial packages for assigned partnership(s).
  • Manage close calendar deliverables and communicate any delays or changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Internal VP’s and external partners.
  • Organize monthly financial reviews with operations and partners.
  • Interview/hire top talent, train new employees, and delegate work.
  • Manage and ensure timely and accurate budget prepared by Senior Accounting Analysts.

**Qualifications**

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with corporate structure and accounts.
  • Oversee preparation of fixed asset detail, depreciation schedule, and account roll-forwards.
  • Review monthly operating expense trend reports and annual budgets.
  • Prepare journal of questions, responses, and action items for each location.
  • Recommend modifications to policies, procedures, and system applications.
  • Provide guidance to finance staff on financial accounting procedures and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and operations.
  • Create workflow documentation for financial processes.
  • Manage high volume and complex issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and integrity in all areas of performance.
