Responsibilities

  • Supervise the creation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including fair value assessments for loan portfolios and investment vehicles.
  • Ensure prompt and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for investors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and upkeep of top-tier accounting policies and procedures tailored for the private credit and real estate lending sectors.
  • Manage loan accounting tasks, including the preparation of amortization schedules, interest accruals, and assessments of impairment.
  • Oversee fund structures, including leveraged lending vehicles, special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and real estate investment entities.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax consultants to guarantee accurate net asset value (NAV) calculations and investor distributions.
  • Monitor fund expenses, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations to ensure compliance with partnership agreements.
  • Establish financial controls for asset-level performance tracking and valuation methods.
  • Enhance capital allocation, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting across various funds and financing structures.
  • Manage relationships with banks, credit facilities, and capital calls for both debt and equity financing.
  • Oversee interest rate risk management, hedging strategies, and compliance with financial covenants.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations, including SEC, IRS, and state-level filings for private credit investments.
  • Maintain a strong internal control framework to protect assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Facilitate audit and tax processes, ensuring smooth collaboration with external partners and regulatory agencies.
  • Work closely with investment, operations, and risk management teams to provide financial insights that aid strategic decision-making.
  • Lead efforts to improve financial systems, automate reporting, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support capital raising initiatives by supplying financial data and analysis to prospective investors and lenders.

Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in private credit, real estate finance, or investment management accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, fund accounting, and credit portfolio reporting.
  • Experience with loan servicing platforms, fund administration, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial ERPs, and fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Geneva, or Yardi).
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
