Responsibilities

  • Generate and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure that financial documentation adheres to company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Examine financial statements and reports to detect trends, variances, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Assist in creating and managing the annual budget.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to project financial performance and analyze deviations from budget expectations.
  • Offer insights into financial outcomes and propose recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform account reconciliations, ensuring precision and timely completion.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies within general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger by ensuring accurate posting of all financial transactions.
  • Guarantee adherence to all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish and uphold internal controls to protect financial assets and ensure precise reporting.
  • Coordinate both internal and external audits, ensuring timely preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Manage cash flow processes, including monitoring liquidity and ensuring the prompt processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize operations and increase efficiency.
  • Supervise the preparation and filing of tax returns (corporate, sales, VAT, etc.).
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • At least 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally within a mid-sized consumer packaged goods (CPG) organization.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite), consolidation software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple entities with complex intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
