Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Demonstrate understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Understand corporate structure and accounts.
  • Oversee and review fixed asset detail, depreciation schedule, and account roll-forwards.
  • Review monthly operating expense trend reports and annual budgets for assigned centers/departments.
  • Review account trend and detail information prepared by Senior Accounting Analysts and Accountants.
  • Maintain journal of questions, responses, and action items for each location.
  • Recommend modifications to policies, procedures, and system applications for efficiency.
  • Provide review comments to Senior Accounting Analysts for accurate variance explanations.
  • Contribute to inter-departmental goals and recommend modifications for efficiency.
  • Perform cross training of responsibilities to ensure coverage of account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Act as primary financial liaison between operations and finance.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and operations regarding accounting policies and procedures.
  • Create workflow documentation for financial processes and procedures.
  • Support standardized policies and procedures for financial processes and accounting reconciliation.
  • Manage high volume and complex issues.
  • Adhere to deliverables checklist for report accuracy.
  • Review and ensure accurate balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare balance sheet supporting schedules as requested.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger journal entries prepared by Senior Accounting Analysts and Accountants.
  • Identify and prevent errors in work.
  • Understand and adhere to internal control policies.
  • Manage time effectively and adhere to close schedule.
  • Provide information requested from auditors promptly.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Manager in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of key financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage employees and multitask large projects.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required.
