Description:
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and oversee technical accounting projects, such as revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842).
- Guide and mentor accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Offer technical accounting knowledge to assist the finance team and other departments.
- Work with the Accounting Manager to effectively assign responsibilities and prevent conflicts.
- Facilitate communication between management and staff to clarify technical accounting issues.
- Aid in the preparation and assessment of financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Assist in the financial audit process and ensure adherence to GAAP and other standards.
**Qualifications**
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferably have a CPA designation or be making progress towards obtaining it.
- Possess at least 4 years of experience in public accounting or a mix of public and private accounting.
- Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, especially in revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842).
- Show proven ability to supervise and develop a team.
- Be capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in the medical devices or a related industry is a bonus.
