Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Lead and supervise staff to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor obligations while maintaining internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Review accounts payable documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy, including vendor statements.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity, analyzing trends and reporting statistics, with discretion and creativity in managing diverse assignments.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of system functions impacting daily workflow and department processes.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex payment and vendor issues, including communication with vendors and reconciliation of invoices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance productivity.
  • Provide leadership and support for projects affecting accounts payable processes.
  • Implement and assess SOX controls and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and oversee internal and external audit PBCs related to accounts payable, and participate in audit walkthroughs.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support internal and external customers, driving change and influencing organizational goals.
  • Act as a liaison with external parties, such as auditors and government agencies, to meet information needs and maintain proper records.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with knowledge of Internet use for business purposes.
  • Preferred familiarity with NetSuite and Corpay.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and improve systems/processes to ensure compliance with company policies and enhance efficiency.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience handling confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including analyzing situations, identifying patterns, and addressing underlying issues.
