Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the South Bay area within the Real Estate industry. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading property development and management company that is experiencing significant growth and has a strong pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable, possess strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
– Receive and scan invoices into the system, and assign appropriate GL account codes, job codes, and categories.
– Communicate with vendors, review vendor documents, and onboard vendors into the accounting system.
– Process payments on a weekly basis.
– Reconcile payments against processed invoices and bank records. – Assist the accounting group with loan draw requests.
– Prepare form 1099’s at year end.
– Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
– Receive, research, and resolve routine internal and external inquiries regarding account status, and communicate resolution of discrepancies.
– Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files. – Assist with monthly closings.
– Prepare account analysis as required.
– Interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
– Assist with other projects as needed.
– Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, or general ledger maintenance.
– Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to work independently and take initiative.
– Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
– Preferred experience with Yardi accounting software.
– Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
