Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for an Accounts Receivable – Royalties Specialist in the South Bay area. In this role, you would work closely with various internal departments and licensees to manage revenue projections, royalty statements, and financial audits. You would be responsible for maintaining ownership of licensee accounts, generating invoices, and assisting with quarterly management reports to Tokyo headquarters. This role provides the chance to develop strong quantitative and analytical skills, while also honing your communication and organizational abilities.

Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including the Licensing Department, to project revenue and analyze marketing expenses.
  • Manage AR and Minimum Guarantee collections with licensees.
  • Conduct Licensing revenue accounting tasks, such as reviewing and processing royalty statements and booking revenue income and expenses.
  • Verify royalty statements in accordance with contract terms.
  • Take ownership of licensee accounts by actively managing revenue processes for accurate and timely results.
  • Track and process payments for master licensees.
  • Create and send invoices for Licensing division contractual obligations.
  • Assist with audit requests from external auditors on a quarterly and year-end basis.
  • Prepare documentation for third-party licensee audits.
  • Monitor commissions owed to agents.
  • Send onboarding emails to new licensees, explaining reporting procedures and providing templates.
  • Support Tokyo headquarters with quarterly management reports.
  • Complete month-end and quarter-end close tasks and reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized physical files and storage with attention to detail.
  • Understand Debit and Credit for accounting entries in ERP systems.
  • Handle general operational accounting and finance duties as required.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and analyses, along with other assigned duties.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
  • Proficient in full cycles of AP, AR, and GL processes.
  • Preferred experience in Consumer Product Licensing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • High energy level and strong work ethic.
  • Results-driven and decisive in decision-making.
  • Willingness to adapt and operate in a dynamic environment.
