Our client is a real estate private equity firm focused on investments in upper upscale full-service hotels in major urban markets and leisure destinations with a particular emphasis on the lifestyle and independent segment, is seeking an asset management analyst in San Francisco to start in the summer of 2022.

The analyst will work closely with the entire asset management team to evaluate individual asset, market and portfolio performance and implement strategies to maximize investment returns. The role requires the candidate to have well-honed quantitative and communication skills, an analytical mindset, and an ability to draw insightful conclusions and present them to the team. The analyst will be a key part of the firm’s asset management value creation strategy.


  • Develop and maintain analytical and benchmarking tools to monitor property performance and industry trends

  • Implement and manage processes to optimize the use of gathered data to evaluate and enhance the financial performance of the firm's hotel assets

  • Provide market insights and guidance to senior leadership to inform capital investment and strategy decisions

  • Assist with strategic initiatives throughout the life cycle of an asset, including concepting and development, debt financing, revenue optimization, expense streamlining, and asset sales

  • Provide support for capital investment work, including multi-million dollar renovations

  • Analyze and monitor sustainability best practices and other ESG programs, and help identify additional opportunities to advance ESG goals across the portfolio

  • Maintain reliable, high-quality records to track value-enhancing initiatives and portfolio performance

  • Create investor presentations for fundraising and reporting purposes


    Candidates must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment and successfully complete new and challenging tasks. The ability to conduct independent research and analysis on economic, industry and property performance and trends is essential. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in finance, hospitality or a related field, and a basic understanding of hotel and restaurant operations. Relevant internship experience is preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel modeling skills is required.
