As the Assistant Controller, you would be responsible for managing financial operations, project draw reviews, budget revisions, and financial statement preparation, providing you with hands-on experience in construction accounting and real estate development financials. Description:
**Responsibilities**
- Review, process, and validate project draws, coordinating with project managers and finance teams.
- Manage budget revisions for job cost reports and bank budgets, collaborating with project teams.
- Oversee month-end close packages, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Manage capital and cash requirements for development projects, forecasting cash flow needs.
- Generate and review financial statements for the development division and subdivisions.
- Implement overhead cost allocation across projects and divisions.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, lender requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate development or construction accounting.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, job costing, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software, specifically Yardi.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with complex financial models.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
