Description:
Responsibilities:
– Execute the monthly closing process for the broker dealer entities through a combination of delegation and direct involvement
– Communicate with internal operations and fund teams to gather and organize the necessary information for recording recurring broker dealer accounting activity
– Ensure the timely submission of recurring broker dealer regulatory financial information, including net capital disclosures
– Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile accounts, and conduct flux analyses
– Manage liquidity for broker dealer and joint venture entities and coordinate cash movements
– Lead the annual audit processes for broker dealer and joint venture entities
– Ensure accurate coding of invoices related to broker dealer activities
– Monitor and record recurring expense accruals
– Collaborate with colleagues in Accounting and other departments across different locations to implement best practices and improve processes
Qualifications:
– Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
– CPA certification preferred
– Minimum of [X] years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in the broker dealer or financial services industry
– Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
– Proficiency in financial statement analysis and account reconciliation
– Experience with liquidity management and cash flow coordination
– Familiarity with audit processes and regulations for broker dealer entities
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
– Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems
