We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Manager/Senior Manager to join our expanding SEC public company Audit Practice based in Los Angeles, CA. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding audit assignments for our Micro- and Small-cap clients. Our firm, with a reputation for excellence in the industry, offers a more diverse and welcoming environment compared to the traditional “assembly line” audit firms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage audit engagements for Micro- and Small-cap companies, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior client management, acting as a trusted advisor and providing valuable insights.
  • Perform detailed audit procedures and document findings, demonstrating strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Maintain proficiency in US GAAP and apply it effectively during audit engagements.
  • Oversee and guide audit team members, providing mentorship and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging accounting and auditing trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Travel as needed to client locations.

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public company audit, preferably with prior experience at a PCAOB registered firm.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in US GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical and auditing abilities, with the ability to handle multiple audits simultaneously.
  • Effective relationship management skills with senior client executives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
