Well known global investment management firm in Downtown LA is looking for an AVP, Corporate Finance to help lead the development of corporate and departmental financial forecasts.


  • Analyze drivers of historical financial performance, including key trends that are impacting the business
  • Understand the components, drivers and evolution of expenses and forecast them accordingly
  • Support corporate financing activities, including preparation of materials for lenders and rating agencies
  • Lead the preparation of materials to be presented to Senior Management and the Board of Directors
  • Evaluate potential new business developments and the associated financial ramifications
  • Play an integral role during the quarterly close process
  • Analyze the profitability of business including expense allocations, margin metrics and growth opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of company filings and other internal and external communication documents, including financial analyses for materials shared with stakeholders
  • Various ad hoc analyses to support the decision making of Senior Management and the operations


  • Bachelor’s degree from a top college or university
  • 7-10+ years of accounting, consulting, investment banking, or financial planning and analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, terminology, and practices including financial forecasting, modeling, and reporting
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Building and working with complex financial models
  • Basic understanding of public company financial statements and accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with SAP BPC or other financial planning and analysis software a plus
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative
  • Responsible with a strong work ethic and sense of dedication
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and with time constraints
  • Outstanding organization skills with high attention-to-detail
  • Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential information and situations with professionalism and tact
