Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a AVP/VP Corporate Accounting in West LA within the Financial Services – Venture Capital/Private Equity industry. You would have the opportunity to join a premier, dynamic, and fast-growing team at a key inflection point. As the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will take on new responsibilities by preparing and reviewing the books and records of management and GP companies, supervise a team of 8 members, and collaborate with FP&A to provide better reporting to management.   • Oversee the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, including Revenue Recognition under ASC 606, Equity Method of Accounting for Investments under ASC 323, Consolidations under ASC 810, Operating Leases under ASC 842, and other general bookkeeping tasks
  • Aid in the preparation of quarterly unaudited financial statements and partner capital reports, as well as annual audited financial statements and footnotes, audit requests, and annual tax workpapers
  • Supervise and manage the Finance & Accounting department consisting of 8 members
  • Guide and educate the Corporate Accounting team to enhance efficiencies in the close process, automate, and streamline processes
  • Collaborate with FP&A to expedite the closing process and deliver improved reporting to management
  • Assist with various accounting functions and projects, including capital calls and distributions, income allocation, and systems implementations


  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Required to have a Certified Public Accountant license
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience is mandatory
  • Prior experience in fund or asset management is necessary
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality
  • Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate with other departments, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and adapting to a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with accounting software such as NetSuite and Concur is a plus
