Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a AVP/VP Finance and Accounting in San Fernando Valley. You would have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities by managing budgets, forecasts, and key management reports for a portfolio of companies in the Financial Services – Investment Management industry. With a focus on operational improvement and long-term strategic partnerships, this role offers the chance to work with experienced management teams and contribute to the growth and transformation of dynamic businesses.


  • Responsible for managing budgets and forecasts for the management companies of the company, which includes forecasting Fee-Related Earnings for approximately 25 companies
  • Create forecasts for the GP companies of the company, including forecasts of Performance-Related Earnings and Distributable Earnings for around 45 companies
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and other essential management reports for both management and GP companies
  • Prepare cash forecasts, support with liquidity and cash management, and draft distribution proposals for excess cash
  • Optimize finance processes and KPIs for internal management reporting and external investor reporting to minority shareholders
  • Review Earnings Releases and SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K filings of public peers, conduct peer comparison, and offer recommendations
  • Review debt agreements and complete debt covenant certifications
  • Assist with any ad-hoc Finance & Accounting requests as necessary
  • Supervise and manage the Finance & Accounting department, which consists of 8 members
  • Support with the quarterly close process and system implementations when required


  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Required to hold a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst license
  • Need to have 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in fund or asset management is a must
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality
  • Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate with other departments, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience working with accounting software like NetSuite and Concur is advantageous
  • Respect for the company's dynamic people-centered culture with the ability to know when to follow and when to lead
