Responsibilities

  • Articulate financial performance, forecasts, and potential risks to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with restaurant operators to ensure financial practices are in sync with operational needs.
  • Offer insights and recommendations throughout the annual budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain financial contingency plans and strategies for risk management.
  • Engage with external auditors, consultants, and advisors to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Analyze industry trends and evaluate their implications for the financial strategy of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • At least 15 years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge in financial planning, cost analysis, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing relationships with investors, banks, and capital structures.
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Restaurant365, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in finance.
  • Able to lead and nurture high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment while handling multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly advantageous.
