Our real estate investment client in Orange County is looking for a Construction Accounting Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processes and procedures of the Construction Coordinator team
  • Relationship management with the software provider and external development consultant
  • Oversee small enhancements/custom report requests or co-lead larger development initiatives/upgrade
  • Create, document and train on new procedures to continue to gain efficiency for processes
  • Review and approve development budget entry in the system to the lender budget
  • Prepare loan draw request packages for submittal to the bank for development loans
  • Oversee the compilation of loan draw request packages for submittal to the bank for non-development loans
  • Coordinate the delivery of internal reporting for major rehabs and development projects to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure reporting is consistent in format and work with the system and team members to enhance value of information shared
  • Work with the third party outsource firm team members to generate budgets, contracts, invoices for

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years of experience, minimum two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Construction accounting and finance experience required
  • Knowledge of PMWeb a plus
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
  • Must be highly focused on details.
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Must adapt to change and be flexible.
  • Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with a great need for closure.
  • Demonstrate initiative – ability to think and work independently as well as work in teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
