Responsibilities:
-Oversee and coordinate all accounting operations
– Manage the collection and consolidation of financial data for accurate reporting
– Prepare and publish monthly and quarterly financial statements – Maintain relationships with external auditors for efficient completion of audits
– Establish and monitor accounting policies and processes
– Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure compliance
– Stay updated on organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulations
– Provide guidance on accounting policies and efficient financial resource utilization
– Evaluate and manage the performance of accounting and financial staff
– Supervise employees handling accounting, billing, collections, and payroll duties
– Prepare annual tax returns or provide financial information for tax preparation Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
– Active CPA certification
– 8+ years of progressive experience in public and private accounting
– 3+ years of management and leadership experience in month-end close and financial statement preparation
– Experience with audits and adherence to GAAP
– Familiarity with ASC 842 Lease Accounting and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
– Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build client relationships
– Proficiency in accounting software and ERP applications such as NetSuite, Excel, Concur, ADP
– Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and reporting practices
– Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
– Experience developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures
– Familiarity with Google Workspace, Confluence, and Jira is a plus – Experience working with VAT, royalties, foreign exchange, and payments processing
– Prior experience in an entrepreneurial company is preferred
