As a candidate with an accounting background and experience in commissions, this role will allow you to take on new responsibilities by overseeing the financial operations of multiple entities, including the main entity which is 90% of the work. You would have the opportunity to work with a tight-knit team, lead the accounting department, and provide critical financial insights to support the company's growth and financial health.

**Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and assess monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and deliver detailed financial updates to management.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate tax filings, audits, and regulatory reports.
  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including payroll and general ledger.
  • Establish and maintain financial controls to protect company assets.
  • Review and approve accounting transactions and ensure timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage the company's budget.
  • Achieve budgeting goals and assist in long-term financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage external audits and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting and finance team.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
  • Oversee cash management functions and ensure timely payments.
  • Provide financial advice to non-financial departments and support corporate development activities.
  • Maximize financial efficiencies through process development.
  • Document and organize financial processing procedures for easy access.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior-level role.
  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, banking processes, and financial data analysis.
  • Exemplary history of financial project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Highly ethical and trustworthy.
