Corporate Accountant for a commercial real estate firm in West LA. The position reports to the Assistant Controller and will oversee corporate accounting along with general ledger responsibilities. The Corporate Account is an integral member of the accounting department charged with carrying out full-cycle accounting functions, including month-end closing activities as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role is significant in developing the supporting infrastructure of a high-volume environment. The Corporate Accountant will have the opportunity to be exposed to significant levels of ad-hoc projects if core duties are delivered timely, accurately and professionally.


  1. Assist Manager of Corporate Accounting in top company accounting, as needed.

  2. Maintain and manage general ledger activities for the Santa Fe properties. Coordinate and track all significant transactions and

    ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

  3. Review and assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.

  4. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.and annual financial statements.

  5. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for top companies.

  6. Involvement in special projects and additional duties as needed.

  7. Preparation and reconciliation of bi-weekly payroll entries.

  8. Accrual and reconciliation of monthly management fees and related elimination entries.


  1. Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to communicate with internal and

    external clients at all levels.

  2. Work independently and use sound judgement in decision making.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  2. 5+ years of aggregate accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting experience,

    preferably in a high-volume environment.


  1. Initiative to take on multiple tasks in a busy environment.

  2. Knowledge of generally accepted account principles with a grasp of both cash and accrual


  3. Efficient and accurate data entry skills.

  4. Demonstrate a professional attitude.

  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  6. Work on team -oriented environment while driving for results.
