Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Supervise daily accounting tasks, such as general accounting duties, month-end closure, and preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, employee reimbursements, general ledger coding, and related accounting entries.
  • Review invoice batches and payment runs to ensure accurate posting and align with cash flow management objectives.
  • Offer guidance, support, and coaching to promote high performance and collaborative teamwork within the Accounts Payable team.
  • Develop, implement, and document accounts payable processes and procedures to enhance internal controls and prevent payment errors and fraud.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including accounts payable automation, to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Compile, analyze, and report financial data, including payments and cash flow, for management insights and decision-making.
  • Oversee employee reimbursement requests, travel expenses, and related reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships, manage vendor applications, tax forms, and other documentation.
  • Support the annual audit process, collaborating with the finance team to meet requirements.
  • Oversee 1099 processing and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Manage technology and software associated with accounts payable and remittance processing functions.

**Qualifications**

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to identify complex issues, develop options, and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading and motivating a team, with the ability to set clear priorities and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate accurately, concisely, and efficiently.
