Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Corporate Controller in the Construction industry located in Long Beach. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high growth privately held family-owned for 70+ years organization that is expanding its accounting and finance team and implementing a new ERP system. Reporting to the CFO, this is a key position working across several business lines and subsidiaries at the Corporate level overseeing all of the accounting functions including general accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, AP/AR, billing, and payroll including responsibility for the process and procedures for the entities/subsidiaries. 

Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Oversee functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, timekeeping, and cash receipts.
  • Prepare statutory reports and facilitate external audits.
  • Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, and budgets.
  • Establish financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Streamline procure-to-pay process to improve financial health.
  • Provide transparent reporting to business operations team.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for compliance.
  • Manage cash flow and review internal reporting.
  • Identify and implement updates for accounting processes.
  • Analyze financial data to support business decisions.
  • Oversee Trade Union processes and procedures.
  • Support accounting team with dynamic leadership.
  • Comply with Corporate Drug and Alcohol Policy.
