Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete accounts payable process, ensuring timely and precise handling of vendor invoices and employee travel expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage the allocation of expenses to various funds, portfolio companies, and subsidiaries, collaborating with compliance and finance leadership to maintain accuracy.
  • Support treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity monitoring, cash flow projections, and the establishment and management of banking relationships.
  • Supervise the offshore consultants responsible for accounts receivable, ensuring timely billing and collection of reimbursements for funds and affiliated entities.
  • Enhance the accounts payable process by implementing best practices and acting as the systems analyst for expense management software.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate training for the offshore team to promote efficient and effective operations.
  • Review and authorize payment runs, confirming that all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain banking relationships.
  • Assist in the analysis and preparation of quarterly and annual budgets, cash forecasts, and financial reports related to accounts payable, treasury, and accounts receivable.
  • Support the monthly closing process, including managing accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets, with potential for advancement to a financial operations manager role.
  • Facilitate the quarterly and annual financial audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop the offshore team, fostering high performance and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Recent graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience in relevant accounting roles are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Concur, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Respect for a dynamic, people-focused culture, with an understanding of when to lead and when to follow.
