Responsibilities

  • Leverage financial, market, and industry insights to proactively uncover opportunities and mitigate risks within the asset portfolio.
  • Formulate annual budgets and quarterly forecasts to assess performance across diverse operational platforms.
  • Assist in the development of strategic business plans aimed at achieving critical operational objectives.
  • Coordinate activities related to asset acquisition and integration, both pre- and post-acquisition, including software implementation.
  • Engage with listing brokers and legal advisors for leasing, purchasing, and selling assets, fostering strong relationships within the brokerage and investment sectors.
  • Provide oversight and analysis on capital improvement initiatives, unit renovations, marketing strategies, and expense management.
  • Ensure adherence to all contractual agreements.
  • Supervise and manage all company-generated fees, ensuring timely distribution and accuracy.
  • Lead accounting and property management teams, leasing brokers, and other third-party service providers.
  • Review architectural designs, conduct construction bid evaluations, and manage construction schedules, including permitting processes.
  • Implement business plans for multiple assets and non-performing loans simultaneously.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly financial reports, tracking budget versus actual expenses while overseeing asset financial performance.
  • Manage due diligence and escrow processes for asset acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Provide regular reports to lenders and investors on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and building engineers, maintaining positive relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Ensure that business plan objectives are achieved and develop new plans for managed assets.
  • Evaluate actual occupancy rates against market vacancy rates quarterly for each asset and offer recommendations as needed.
  • Assess actual lease rates compared to market rates quarterly for each asset and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Oversee negotiations and documentation for new leases and lease renewals.
  • Deliver quarterly updates to investors.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to meet all reporting deadlines consistently.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a strong focus on investment, finance, underwriting, leasing, and asset and property management, particularly in office, industrial, and multifamily sectors.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, along with delivering presentations at the executive level.
  • Expertise in Argus Financial Software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the complete Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering high-quality presentations to executive committees.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in underwriting, proforma development, due diligence, and overseeing construction management.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available to work in the office during business hours.
