A diversified real estate investment and property management company is looking to hire a Director of Multifamily Asset Management. This person will be responsible for asset managing a portfolio of the Company's multifamily properties throughout California with a focus on Los Angeles County. The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a solid asset management and finance background, and strong work ethic. This individual should have the desire to be a part of a rapidly expanding company, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals. This position will report to the company Owners/Principals.


  • Responsibility for overall portfolio management and profitability on both properties self-managed by property owner's in-house management company and third-party managed by outside management companies.
  • Oversee 3rd party property management firms to ensure optimal property performance through strict systems and controls
  • Ensure the oversight and implementation of the property business plan
  • Analyze property financials and performance metrics in pursuit of maximizing revenue and minimizing expenses
  • Provide recommendations and implement changes for property improvements based on thorough analysis and experience
  • Prepare narratives and financials for investor reporting
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of strategies to maximize asset values within the portfolio
  • Complete property inspections as part of monitoring property performance, management execution, and property capital needs
  • Problem solve property and portfolio-level issues through research, analysis, and implementation
  • Implement and monitor capital improvement projects
  • Create detailed roll-up reporting on a large portfolio of multifamily properties.


  • 5-10+ years experience in multifamily asset management
  • Bachelors degree (prefer real estate, business, or finance)
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Strong management skills, with an ability to work independently and multitask
  • Highly motivated, with a positive “can do” attitude
  • An analytical approach with a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to think like an owner in all decision making
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to do what is necessary
  • Travel to properties throughout California will be required. Estimated 80% in Arcadia, CA corporate office and 20% in the field.
  • Experience in Yardi Voyager property management software.
