Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Finance and Accounting Manager/AVP in West LA. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and management of budgets and forecasts for approximately 25 management companies, including projections for Fee-Related Earnings.
  • Create financial forecasts for around 45 general partner companies, focusing on Performance-Related Earnings and Distributable Earnings.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and other essential management reports for both management and general partner companies.
  • Generate cash flow forecasts, support liquidity and cash management efforts, and prepare proposals for distributing excess cash.
  • Enhance financial processes and KPIs for internal management reporting and external reporting to minority investors.
  • Analyze Earnings Releases and SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K filings of public competitors, conduct peer comparisons, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Review debt agreements and prepare certifications for compliance with debt covenants.
  • Assist with various Finance & Accounting requests as they arise.
  • Lead and manage the Finance & Accounting team, consisting of 8 members.
  • Support the quarterly closing process and assist with system implementations as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
  • Experience in fund management or asset management is essential.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Concur is advantageous.
