Description:

Responsibilities

• Support the annual audits of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of cash and expenses.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax documents, including 1099 forms.
• Process vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
• Contribute to various ad hoc projects as needed.
• Coordinate with independent auditors, external tax consultants, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
• Perform additional tasks as required to assist the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic record.
• Solid understanding of reconciliation processes and account analysis.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, particularly those relevant to investment companies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
