Private real estate investment firm in West LA is looking for a Financial Analyst who will help perform various financial and investor related functions for the organization in support of the continued growth of its national operations. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Company to assist the CFO/COO in the execution and oversight of the Company's financial and operational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support CFO/COO on a broad range of financial, operational, and administrative matters, to include but not limited to report preparation, administration of portfolio insurance coverages, review of annual cam reconciliations and other administrative support as necessary
  • Prepare and review detailed schedules in support of the closing process for acquisitions and dispositions
  • Create and update investment waterfall calculations, maintain detailed investor schedules
  • Develop a high proficiency in Yardi Investment Manager database and CRM, take the lead in managing the system and the ongoing improvement process to maximize efficiency
  • Interface with investors to address questions, assess needs and support requirements
  • Help to develop and produce investor presentations, press releases, annual report, investment memorandums and other marketing collateral
  • Support the CFO with the fundraising process, distributing offering documents, tracking commitments compiling and posting final executed documents. Managing related communications with investors and interfacing with institutional partners as necessary
  • Support annual budgeting process and perform analysis of projected and actual investors returns
  • Work with the Asset Management team to compile the quarterly reforecasts and analyze the data on a portfolio-wide basis
  • Prepare treasury reports, project cash requirements in conjunction with the budgeting and reforecasting processes
  • Review and update reports in conjunction with the quarterly investor reporting process
  • Prepare and distribute monthly metrics report, analyze and highlight key information
  • Maintain Schedule of Real Estate, and other related portfolio analysis
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis, as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years (3–4 years preferred) of relevant analytical experience
  • Must be extremely proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Yardi preferred, strong systems aptitude required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong quantitative analysis skills
  • BA, BS degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent)
  • Must be comfortable performing in an entrepreneurial firm
  • Occasional travel and flexible hours required
