Private equity and venture capital firm in West LA is looking for a Fund Accountant to assist in all aspects of the finance and accounting functions related to the Private Equity Funds and Co-investments as well as the Management Company. Duties will include preparation/review of fund/management company financials. The candidate will also assist and work with the Fund Administrator as it relates to all aspects of financial reporting, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements and associated partner's capital accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Fund Administrator (Daily cash monitoring/Capital calls/investments/distributions/Mgmt fee calculations)
  • Calculation of carried interest
  • Preparation of Fund Financials/Partner capital statements for the Funds that are administered in house
  • Interact with Fund Administrator for externally administered funds/co-investments
  • Assist with the coordination of Fund / Co-Investment Audits
  • Assist with investment deal closings
  • Coordinate/review valuations of the Private Equity portfolio
  • Opening/closing of Bank accounts
  • Process wires and related journal entries
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Monitor the Accounting mailbox and respond daily to investor requests
  • Assist with the preparation of Presentations, Quarterly letters
  • Assist with ad hoc fundraising requests

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 1-3 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
