As the Manager of Closed-end Fund Accounting, Power Opportunities, you would have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities by maintaining the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts, as well as reporting to clients and the portfolio group. Description:
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts, and provide reports to clients and the portfolio group.
- Coordinate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
- Analyze and calculate performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and investments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
- Determine and prepare distributions and draw-downs.
- Calculate income and expense allocations to each partner, updating distribution waterfall based on governing documents.
- Estimate and post monthly closing accruals.
- Account for complex corporate actions.
- Record and reconcile purchase and sale transactions.
- Account for and reconcile cash, investments, and real property.
- Maintain books and records of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts.
**Qualifications**
- Experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent understanding of accounting and relevant investment company accounting rules.
- Knowledgeable in reconciliation and account analysis.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience.
