The Manager Financial Reporting reports to the department's Sr. Director of Financial Reporting and will have exposure to the broader finance organization and finance leadership.

Responsibilities: 

• Preparation of SEC financial filings, including annual reports on Form 10-K and Form 11-K, quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, footnotes to the financial statements and Management Discussion and Analysis, and XBRL filings. 
• Review internal and external communications, including board presentations and investor relations earnings releases, scripts, and presentations.
• Oversee the consolidation process, including the preparation of monthly/quarterly journal entries (e.g., share-based compensation, derivatives, and benefit plans) and other consolidation activities.
• Perform technical research on complex accounting issues (with heavy emphasis on revenue arrangements) and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.
• Work with various cross-functional stakeholders on complex accounting issues.
• Maintain global accounting policies and memos.
• Partner with key stakeholders and keep business partners updated on developments in accounting and financial reporting and related firm policies and they effect they will have on their business unit.
• Develop and present training sessions and other meeting forums to keep business partners up to date.
• Work as part of cross-functional teams to execute various special projects and transactions and preparation of ad hoc financial reporting.

Qualifications

• This role requires an experienced accounting professional with strong leadership and people management skills. In addition to strong technical accounting expertise, the successful candidate will have a proven capacity to excel in a complex, global environment, lead and develop a team, and be comfortable in an organization where rolling up one’s sleeves is the norm. • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and CPA required
• Masters degree in Accounting or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting; ideally with a “Big 4” public accounting firm
• Significant SEC experience with global operations preferred or a combination of public accounting and private industry with a publicly traded company
• Global manufacturing and/or consumer-packaged goods industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle is a plus?????
