A fully remote Accounting Manager position for a consumer products company in West LA – new position due to growth! The company has been growing rapidly and they need someone to head up the GL function. They are looking for someone with a CPA license, past public accounting, and private accounting from a Consumer Packaged Goods company. Responsibilities:

  • Craft and orchestrate the symphony of general ledger accounts within NetSuite, our corporate accounting system. Each month, put on your detective hat and dive into the Balance Sheet, unraveling variances to ensure everything's in tip-top shape.
  • Be the grandmaster of coordination, overseeing account reconciliations with the finesse of a maestro. Your secret weapon? Cover sheets and internal audit procedures that keep everything harmonious.
  • Flex those ASC 606 muscles and calculate revenue recognition monthly, maintaining compliance that would make any number-crunching virtuoso proud.
  • Dance through the intricate steps of reconciling revenues versus expenses on a monthly basis, while also taming the beast of deferred revenue.
  • It's time to play architect! Design and supervise a system of procedures, forms, and controls to seamlessly record fixed assets and keep everything structured like a well-composed symphony.
  • Take center stage in maintaining the fixed asset schedule, hitting all the right notes by calculating and recording monthly depreciation.
  • The month-end finale is your time to shine. Let your creativity flow as you produce impactful journal entries, investigate anomalies, analyze P&L variances, and prepare those crucial month-end accruals.

Qualifications:
