Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Principal, Corporate Fixed Income. This role offers the opportunity to take on new responsibilities by leading the Financial Vertical Team, establishing relationships with issuers, and collaborating with portfolio managers and analysts across the organization. With a focus on the financial sector, this position provides the chance to work on a variety of investment opportunities and develop analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Financial Vertical Team, establishing and nurturing relationships with issuers and syndicate teams. Supervise junior team members and provide guidance to less experienced analysts.
  • Act as the key liaison on the Financial Team, leading collaborative efforts with portfolio managers and analysts throughout the organization to conduct research and analysis on potential investment opportunities.
  • Offer analytical and project assistance for liability-matched and total return strategies, including new issuances, secondary opportunities, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Conduct daily tasks such as financial modeling, industry and business due diligence, relative value analysis, and quarterly reporting.
  • Assist in creating investment committee memoranda, materials for senior team members, and various ad hoc projects related to portfolio monitoring, reporting, and investor inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 5-8 years of experience in credit buy-side, investment banking, or capital markets.
  • Specific expertise in the Financial sector, particularly focusing on banks.
  • Experience working across the capital structure and generating diverse total return investment concepts.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and financial modeling skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting investment memos to senior members of the Investment Committee.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
