Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Senior Accountant in the South Bay area within the Manufacturing industry. As a Senior Accountant, you would have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities by working on day-to-day GL accounting, balance sheet account reconciliation, and income statement flux analysis. Description:
**Responsibilities**

• Compile and analyze financial transactions and records to prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries
• Verify, allocate, post, reconcile transactions, and resolve discrepancies to maintain and balance accounts
• Review trial balance, prepare reconciling entries, and maintain the general ledger
• Participate in general ledger accounting, including month end close, prepaids, expense accruals, flux analysis, and reporting
• Identify and improve controls and processes
• Collect information to summarize financial status
• Assist in preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Analyze and schedule general ledger accounts, prepare information for auditors, and assist with external audits
• Document and monitor internal controls to support the auditing team
• Provide support in complex accounting projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external departments to support company objectives and key results
• Handle ad hoc responsibilities and reports as needed

**Qualifications**

• BS degree in accounting or finance required
• 3 or more years of experience
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP required
• Mix of public and private accounting preferred
• Experience working in a SOX environment
• PPE Experience or understanding full PPE cycle
• System implementation experience preferred
• Net Suite experience and familiarity with researching GAAP guidance preferred
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Sumifs, and VLOOKUP
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proactive and deadline oriented
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
