Description:
**Responsibilities:**

  • Examine daily cash deposit logs and verify entries made by accounting staff in the accounting system. Ensure customer payments and deposit records are scanned and stored in the client deposits database.
  • Assess weekly accounts receivable aging reports to monitor client payment progress. Identify customers falling behind on payments and alert CFO and other relevant personnel.
  • Track weekly accounts payable activity, accounts payable aging reports, and company credit card transactions.
  • Review or assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations as needed.
  • Create payroll accruals for review by Sr. Accounting Manager and post as journal entries in accounting software.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Accounting Manager on company expense accruals and prepaid expense amortization in accordance with GAAP.
  • Verify monthly deferred revenue, deferred program costs, and amortize as per GAAP guidelines.
  • Analyze financial statement variances and generate comparison reports for P&L actual versus budget versus prior year, balance sheet variances.
  • Record stock compensation based on vesting schedules and amortize intangible assets following GAAP standards. Support AP/AR managers with ad hoc projects as needed.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, preferably at an intermediate level.
  • Team player with attention to detail, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
