Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise and timely financial statements in accordance with business management policies and procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, and workers' compensation audits.
  • Conduct and present financial analyses, long-term cash flow assessments, and profit and loss reporting solutions.
  • Oversee insurance renewals and claims for both institutional and individual clients.
  • Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and updates.
  • Assist in the review and summarization of all client agreements.
  • Create, review, and approve budgets, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
  • Support the management of new client onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate directly with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investment assessments.
  • Review cash management practices to monitor credit card transactions, fraud alerts, and credit score issues.
  • Evaluate the work and accuracy of Staff Accountants handling accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, payroll, etc.
  • Supervise the timely and accurate preparation of commission calculations and payments.
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects as required.
  • Support payroll services and oversee related journal entries.
  • Maintain a log of all filings and reported information to ensure accountability for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proactively build and nurture professional relationships with clients' trusted advisors regarding ongoing matters.
  • Qualify annual financial statements for tax return purposes.

Qualifications

  • Ability to reliably commute to the office location.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm or the entertainment industry, or 5 years of bookkeeping experience for high net-worth individuals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Music Business with a strong academic record.
  • Proficient in using QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across the organization.
  • Highly detail-oriented to ensure the creation of accurate and timely reports.
  • Strong work ethic combined with a positive attitude and alignment with the company’s culture and values.
