Description:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review notices while executing transactions in line with fund and investment legal agreements.
  • Compile quarterly reports and financial statements for funds, ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards.
  • Generate investor reports, including capital account statements, tax document delivery, and customized templates, along with handling ad-hoc requests as necessary.
  • Review quarterly investment reporting packages and gather relevant information regarding investments.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing relationships and inquiries.
  • Collaborate effectively with investment operating partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the approval process and timely payment of invoices to maintain accounts payable accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies and maintain sufficient liquidity across all entities.
  • Verify that all journal entries are accurately coded, reviewed, and supported with the necessary documentation.
  • Continuously seek to enhance business processes for improved efficiency, accuracy, and quality of outputs.
  • Engage in company-wide growth initiatives to support organizational development.
  • Manage, mentor, and foster the professional growth of team members.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to direct reports, when applicable.
  • Maintain robust internal controls surrounding accounting and reporting practices.
  • Review and update documentation of policies and procedures, recommending modifications as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master of Accounting (MAcc) or MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public or private accounting roles.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or reporting within the real estate or private equity sectors.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
  • Skilled in conveying complex financial concepts to individuals lacking finance and accounting expertise.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising other professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and operate under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and abstract reasoning abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
