Responsibilities

  • Conduct and verify general ledger account reconciliations to ensure precision and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms to oversee tax strategy and filing processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Manage the accounting and reporting of royalties, guaranteeing compliance with contractual obligations and timely disbursements.
  • Review and oversee the financial components of contracts, ensuring adherence to specified terms and conditions.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Supervise insurance-related accounting activities, including policy renewals, claims processing, and compliance with insurance mandates.
  • Assist both internal and external auditors to ensure alignment with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee all lease agreements and compliance with ASC 842 standards.
  • Document, control, and enhance departmental policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver precise, comprehensive, and well-structured ad-hoc analyses within tight deadlines.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses to elucidate business dynamics affecting Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly revenue analyses to assess performance across various business lines.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in coordinating the month-end closing process and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of US GAAP.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Capability to utilize technology for efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to manage timelines and accurately process information under time constraints.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for effective interaction with various departments, vendors, and senior management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and flexibility in the workplace.
