Responsibilities

  • Compile and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in alignment with GAAP, organizational policies, and industry best practices.
  • Generate journal entries, conduct analyses, perform account reconciliations, and create schedules for financial closes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop analyses and schedules to facilitate the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.
  • Evaluate and enhance accounting procedures to ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of business processes and ensure timely updates to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports, which may include state and local sales and property taxes, along with other jurisdictional requirements.
  • Generate monthly trend analyses or other required analyses as necessary.
  • Perform complex evaluations of accounts and transactions as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of the company's Form 10-K and 10-Q, including financial statements, schedules, and accompanying notes.
  • Support the Assistant Controller with tax compliance activities.
  • Contribute to various projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
  • Operational proficiency in general ledger functions, journal entry preparation with adequate documentation, and compliance with policies and internal controls.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet applications and relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in a public company setting, particularly with SEC financial reporting cycles.
