We are a global video game commerce company, providing a comprehensive suite of tools and services tailored to the needs of the gaming industry. Currently, we are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our organization’s financial operations, specifically focusing on the accounting functions of our Holding Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the general ledger and overseeing the month-end close process for corporate accounting. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries and conducting account analysis for key balance sheets and expense accounts.
  • Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service, promptly addressing accounting-related inquiries, and exercising judgment to resolve or escalate issues as needed.
  • Review contracts and other transactions to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
  • Support annual internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules, financial statements, and footnotes.
  • Collaborate in defining, documenting, and implementing effective internal controls for accounting functions.
  • Play a vital role in general process improvements and documentation across all accounting cycles.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Research and document new accounting standards, technical matters, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate with tax, legal, corporate finance, accountants, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate reporting in disclosure documents.
  • Take responsibility for cash management reporting.
  • Participate in the management company close process, including accounting for KPI-based compensation, long-term incentive plans, and debt obligations.
  • Contribute to special ad hoc projects and analysis to support senior and executive management teams, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements, account analysis, and accounting policies.
  • Ability to interpret and apply GAAP accounting guidance effectively.
  • Solid reconciliation and analytical skills for resolving complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience participating in and leading projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of accounting compliance and reporting standards.
  • Preferred experience with Netsuite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive and self-directed approach with excellent multitasking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Dedication to a strong work ethic, including flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods.
  • Team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
