Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Senior Associate for a boutique FDD firm in downtown San Francisco. This firm is growing rapidly and wants the best of the best from the Big 4, both from FDD and Audit. Fantastic culture and WLB compared to Big 4 FDD with higher compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze financial statements of target companies to determine the validity of earnings/EBITDA, cash flows, financial position, and overall financial health.
  • Oversee daily communication and build strong relationships with both junior and senior team members, actively participating in team discussions.
  • Utilize Excel extensively to develop complex and sophisticated analytical deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrate flexibility and willingness to tackle new challenges while maintaining effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effectively synthesize data to convey insights and narratives derived from numerical analysis.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in audit or financial due diligence.
  • Possession of a CPA license (inactive status is acceptable), with additional credentials such as CFA or advanced degrees considered advantageous.
  • Strong foundation in financial and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Dynamic and highly motivated individual who excels as a team player, builds relationships easily, and can work independently.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and customer-focused environment.
  • Delivers accurate and timely outputs consistently.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and the underlying accounting principles.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (advanced functions required). Familiarity with analytics tools such as Power BI or Alteryx will be considered in the selection process.
