Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Senior Operations role in West LA within the Financial Services – Investment Management industry. As a Senior Operations professional, you would have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities by overseeing the back and middle office functions of the firm, managing settlement of securities, and developing operation team talent. Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Develop and nurture the talent within the operations team.
  • Supervise the settlement process for all securities.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of cash and positions for accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitor cash and security positions in client accounts daily.
  • Track daily and monthly account performance against benchmark returns.
  • Provide Portfolio Management with daily cash availability and projected balances.
  • Follow up on unconfirmed trades, trade breaks, and failed trades.
  • Monitor corporate actions and FX forwards.
  • Monitor portfolio leverage for cash management purposes and report to Portfolio Management.
  • Confirm bank loans by verifying booking on ClearPar, reviewing trade confirmations, and funding memos.
  • Conduct monthly closing processes through reconciliations of market values, performance, security positions, and cash.
  • Produce monthly performance reports for GIPS and marketing purposes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions, performance, and data for client accounts by reviewing accounts for discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate and provide information to various departments such as Client Services & Marketing, Compliance, Trading, and Accounting.
  • Supervise and monitor the middle and back-office service provider.
  • Develop and implement procedures for efficient operations.
  • Oversee performance calculations including GIPS, daily and monthly performance, and other reporting.

**Qualifications**

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of equity, FX, corporate bonds, and loans is essential.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Must take ownership and responsibility for all assigned tasks until completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg.
  • Experience with Clearpar, IDC, Markit, CTM, Bloomberg AIM is a plus.
